1. Who we are
Lanice AI is a United States company that provides a synthetic audience intelligence platform. Contact for anything in this policy: info@lanice.ai.
A point worth making up front, because it defines how the product handles data: the personas inside the Lanice AI platform are synthetic. They are AI-generated statistical constructs. The platform does not ingest, score or profile real users, and customers are contractually prohibited from uploading data that identifies real individuals (see our EULA).
2. Information we collect
On this website
- Contact form submissions — name, email address, organization (optional), and your message. Used solely to respond to your enquiry; delivered to our inbox by email.
- Server logs — our hosting provider automatically records standard web-server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and operations.
- This website does not use advertising trackers and does not set tracking cookies. Fonts are served by Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when your browser requests font files.
On the Lanice AI platform
- Account information — name, email address, authentication data, organization membership and role.
- Billing information — payments are processed by Stripe. We store billing records (amounts, timestamps, ledger entries) but we do not store your card number; card details are held by Stripe.
- Usage and audit data — actions within the platform, feature usage, AI-usage metering (model, tokens, cost), and audit logs of governance actions, which include the acting user, IP address and browser user agent. These records exist for billing accuracy, security and accountability.
- Customer Content — the datasets, creative assets, documents and configurations your organization uploads. These should be aggregate and statistical (e.g., census-style distributions), never data about identifiable people.
- Support communications — emails and messages you send us.
3. How we use information
- To provide, operate, secure and support the website and platform;
- To meter usage, bill accurately and maintain financial records;
- To respond to enquiries and provide customer support;
- To monitor for abuse, enforce our agreements and protect tenants from each other;
- To improve the Services, using aggregated or de-identified information where practicable;
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your Customer Content to train our own or third parties' AI models.
4. AI processing
The platform generates content using third-party large language model providers (accessed through an AI gateway). When your organization runs a workload, the relevant prompts and Customer Content required for that workload are transmitted to the selected model provider for processing. Platform administrators can restrict which providers or provider regions an organization's workloads may use, and every output is stamped with the exact model that produced it.
5. Who we share information with
We share personal information only with service providers who process it on our behalf under contractual protections, and only as needed to run the Services:
- Infrastructure & database — cloud hosting, database, authentication and storage providers;
- Payments — Stripe, for payment processing;
- AI model providers — as described in Section 4;
- Professional advisers and authorities — where required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a corporate transaction (in which case this policy continues to apply to previously collected data).
6. Cookies
The website does not set tracking cookies. The platform uses strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management. If we later add analytics, this policy and any required consent mechanisms will be updated first.
7. Data retention
- Contact-form enquiries are kept as long as needed to handle the enquiry and for reasonable business records.
- Platform account, usage, ledger and audit data are retained for the life of the organization's account and as required for legal, billing and security purposes.
- When an organization is permanently deleted, its data is purged from the database, authentication systems and file storage in a single audited operation, except where law requires retention (e.g., financial records).
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures appropriate to the data we hold, including encryption in transit, tenant isolation enforced at the database layer with row-level security, role-based access controls, secret-scanning in our development pipeline, and audit logging of governance actions. No system is perfectly secure; we encourage you to use strong, unique credentials.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to complain to a supervisory authority. We honor applicable rights under U.S. state privacy laws (such as the CCPA/CPRA) and, where it applies, the GDPR. To exercise any right, email info@lanice.ai; we will verify your request and respond within the timeframe required by law. We do not discriminate against you for exercising privacy rights.
10. International transfers
We are based in the United States and process data in the United States (and in the regions used by our service providers). Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
11. Children
The website and platform are not directed to children and may not be used by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; if you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version; material changes will be highlighted on this page or notified within the platform.
